Cockpit

The 60 EB Convertible’s 170 sq ft cockpit features an observation mezzanine with cushioned seating along the starboard forward bulkhead beneath the large aft salon window with a freezer underneath, and various compartments for rigged bait, drinks, gear and more, keeping the cockpit clear of clutter. EL SAMURAI features the optional swim platform that can be used to board through the transom portside door, or board over sides using the Viking cockpit boarding box. A table on stanchion is mounted to the laminated aluminum in-deck plate provided by Viking, which could also support a leaning post or fighting chair. A Bimini-style sunshade extending from the bridge overhang was added by owners, making the cockpit a great place for al fresco meals, and socializing. A sturdy aluminum ladder with non-skid treads leads up from mezzanine to the bridge aft deck and door to the fully enclosed bridge.

Main Deck Salon, Galley, Dinette

A lockable sliding door, up a few steps from the cockpit, opens to the full beam main deck living area of salon, galley, and dinette. Large frameless windows and ergonomically flowing interior lines make the 60 EB’s salon seem even more spacious. Viking yachts are known for their efficient use of space and quality of workmanship that rivals custom builders. Upon entering the salon, an L-shaped settee and cocktail table is starboard aft with the dinette forward. Cabinetry in beautifully finished teak veneer houses the entertainment center and bottle storage, is directly opposite the salon settee. A 42” flatscreen TV is mounted on the forward bulkhead above the dinette and is viewable throughout the salon. Reverse cycle air-conditioning circulates from registers hidden in custom teak valances.

Galley

The open, U-shaped galley is forward on portside and features a peninsula with overhang and two barstools on salon side for additional dining place settings or quick bites. Galley appliances are concealed in teak cabinetry, keeping the clean and elegant look that is a hallmark of Viking’s interiors. Appliances include SubZero undercounter refrigerator and freezer drawers, microwave/convection oven, and undermounted stainless-steel sink with garbage disposal. A four-burner glass cooktop is mounted in the granite countertop.

Accommodations

Companionway between the galley and dinette leads down a few steps to the accommodations level. The four-stateroom layout features a large master suite to portside with queen walkaround berth, VIP stateroom with centerline queen berth is in forepeak, and both have ensuite heads. There are two guest staterooms on the starboard side with the forward stateroom featuring two single berth bunks, and the aft guest has two over/under berths and private entrance to the shared head, that is also the day head. A stacked washer and dryer are in a companionway closet as is the central vacuum connection and accessories.

Enclosed Bridge Deck

The Enclosed Bridge is like a second salon with an L-shaped settee and cocktail table on a raised platform, refrigerator with icemaker, audio entertainment system, finished teak storage cabinetry, and full climate control. Forward helm station features updated electronics, Moritz Octoplex touchscreen panel, and Stidd chair that is flanked on port and starboard sides with a small settee for the helmsman guests. A weatherproof, lockable aft door leads to the extended bridge aft deck with a pod-style aft docking station to starboard and an aft-facing bench seat on portside. Powder-coated aluminum handrails are positioned over aft deck hatch with ladder down to cockpit mezzanine and salon entrance.

Foredeck and Bow

EL SAMURAI could also be used as a mothership from which to launch a pair of angling kayaks that can be secured on the foredeck for fishing adventures while cruising.
