The engine room is easily accessed from the salon deck and spacious with good access to service points. The pods are aft with great access through the deck hatches and hinging transom seat.
Over the last ten years, pod drives have achieved a dominant position for inboard propulsion for a number of reasons including superior speed and fuel efficiency, quiet smooth performance with reduced exhaust fumes, space savings in the boat and simpler maintenance vs. props and shafts. The machinery has received routine annual maintenance, and most recently completed including cooling system flush and aftercooler inspection, exhaust elbows replaced, testing and service, all records available upon request.
Sabre has advanced their production over the long history to state of the art resin infusion technology. The boat is extremely strong and stiff while eliminating unnecessary weight in the layup. The fiberglass and gel coat finish work is exceptional.
