FOR SALE: 2000 PASSPORT 470 MAGGIE
MAGGIE is a well-equipped and cared-for Passport 470 aft cockpit designed by Robert Perry. Her design and construction quality provides for a swift, safe ocean voyaging yacht with a sailplan that is powerful, fast, and easy to manage from the safety of the cockpit.
She is currently located in Grenada and safely tucked away for the season, but she can be readily inspected, surveyed, and launched for a willing buyer to set off cruising.
Specifications
MAGGIE features gorgeous teak joinery and a teak and holly cabin sole. The passageway doors, hanging lockers, and cabinetry are trimmed with beautiful Ebony wood. Overall, her interior is in very good condition. Numerous opening ports and overhead hatches provide superb ventilation and natural light.
She is a two-cabin, two-head layout, with the master cabin forward and quarterberth guest cabin aft. Each cabin has ensuite access to private heads. She has been lovingly cared for and well-maintained.
MAIN SALON
The main salon has a wraparound settee to port with a convertible dining table that can be used as a double berth. To starboard is a long settee with lee cloths. An ideal sea berth while offshore. All the cabinets and lockers are louvered for natural airflow and classic good looks. There are abundant lockers and bookshelves port and starboard.
MASTER STATEROOM
The master stateroom forward has an ensuite shower stall and head. The berth is a large V-berth with a custom mattress and lots of storage above and below. There are many cabinets and hanging lockers; storage is bountiful. The forward head has been upgraded with an electric flush marine toilet and features a separate stall shower with full standing head room, vanity sink with medicine cabinet above, and additional storage under the sink.

AFT STATEROOM
Starboard aft of the main salon is the guest cabin with an ensuite head that also serves as a day head. The cabin has a large double quarterberth, bookshelf, lockers, and a hanging locker. The ensuite has a manual head, shower, locker, and wet locker.

GALLEY
Aft of the main salon is the U-shaped galley. It is well equipped with a double basin sink, propane cooktop with oven and boiler, large refrigerator and freezer boxes, microwave cabinet, and lots of drawers and locker space for provisions and galleyware. The Corian countertops are in excellent condition and feature teak fiddles with incorporated hand holds. This is a proper galley for offshore passage making. It is very safe, secure, and functional.
At the base of the companionway steps to port, aft of the galley is a large outboard-facing navigation station with a seat and fold top chart table. MAGGIE is well equipped with Raymarine cruising electronics. In 2023/2024, she was updated with a Starlink high-speed internet antenna and a new VHF radio with AIS.

Solid fiberglass hull, with hand-laminated construction using knitted and biaxial fabrics, vinylester and isophthalic resin, and isophthalic gelcoat. The transverse and longitudinal stringers are foam-cored for strength and stiffness in the hull. The keel is internally ballasted and glassed into a modified fin keel. The skeg-mounted rudder with internal stainless steel rudderpost and integral stainless reinforcement is preferred for offshore sailing. All deck hardware is thru-bolted with stainless steel backing plates.
