The Back Cove 33 Hard Top Express is a highly sought after express cruiser for couples who are searching for comfort, performance, and class. Back Cove is well known for well-built classic down east style cruisers. Comfortable seating on the helm deck gives the captain and crew an amazing 360 degree visibility. The helm deck has AC and heat! The galley and a convertible dinette are within the helm deck and below deck is a comfortable L-Shaped settee, head and separate shower stall, and the V-Berth.

The upgraded Cummins QSB5.9, 480 hp single diesel pushes the boat through the water with ease. HERON cruises at 15 knots but will do an easy 20 knots if in a hurry. The current engine hours are 1,700 hours.
HERON has the desirable hard back with a sliding door. The helm area is completely enclosed keeping the area dry from water and spray.

ACCOMMODATIONS:
As you approach HERON from the dock you begin to see the beauty and down the east lines HERON represents. The FLAG SHIP blue hull shines like a new penny. No doubt she will turn heads in any marina.
Enter the cockpit from the swim platform and through the starboard side transom door. Aft is a built-in settee with storage under the bottom cushions. Additionally, there are folding captains’ chairs and teak tables, so everyone has a seat. There are two cockpit lazarettes for storage. Along the port and starboard sides are built-in fiberglass steps to the side decks. The side deck is wide with high rails and handrails for added safety while maneuvering fore and aft. Forward is the electric windlass and anchor locker. Back in the cockpit, forward is a sliding door to enter the helm deck.
The helm deck offers excellent seating for a crowd with the single Stidd helm chair to starboard and directly behind the helm and electronics. Across from the helm chair is a double guest seat facing forward. Both seating areas have footrests. Behind the guest seat is a raised dinette with fore and aft facing seating. The dinette table will lower to make into a double berth. Across from the dinette is the galley. Large and functional, the galley area offers excellent food storage and preparation areas. Under the helm and guest seat are drawer refrigerators with freezer compartments. The side windows open with screens and Textalene white window covers reduce the heat and sunlight. There are also mini blinds for the windows and an overhead hatch.
There is an entry into the lower cabin centered and forward. A private snap in dark blue Sunbrella cover keeps the helm and lower cabin separated. Headroom is 6’ 5”. Down three steps you’re in the lower cabin. Immediately to starboard is the head with vanity, electric head, and a separate shower stall. On the port side is the lower L-Shaped settee with a table the converts into an additional double berth. Along the aft port bulkhead is the electrical panel and a custom liquor bottle and glass storage. Just forward of the head is a cedar lined hanging locker with shelf above and a Toshiba flat screen TV that is mounted on a swivel allowing the TV to be viewed from the lower settee. The forward berth is a V-berth with a filler cushion allowing two separate berths or one large berth which is 7 foot long. Currently the berth is set up for one large berth and has a topper to reduce the feel of any cushion creases. The forward berth has beautiful lightly stained slates and side shelves. Under the berths are storage and there are (2) drawers. An overhead hatch and opening port lights offer added ventilation and light.
No disappointments in HERON!
GALLEY:
Located on the starboard side behind the helm chair, the galley will please even the most discriminating onboard chef with Corian counters and cherry hardwood cabinets.
ELECTRIC:
The main panel is in the lower salon on the port aft bulkhead.
ELECTRONICS:
All electronics are located at the helm within easy reach.
MECHANICAL:
Excellent engine compartment access with the entire helm deck opens electrically to reveal the engine and equipment.
DECK and HARDWARE:
Entering the cockpit from the swim platform and through the transom door the cockpit is large with a built-in blue striped settee aft and port and starboard side steps to the wide side decks. Access to the helm deck is through a sliding door.
