Specifications
Sellers have had this boat about 5-6 years and have really taken good care of her. There are no current leaks the deck is very solid underfoot and the boat runs like a charm. The interior has a open salon with reclining chairs that have been re-upholstered and a newer flat screen TV. The aft Cabin is nice full beam with a walk around Queen bed and private head compartment that was rebuilt in 2018.
Full galley down (refurbished in 2012) and to the port side as there is additional head compartment to starboard (new toilet 2018) and the guest stateroom is forward. Vessel also features an Upper and Lower helm.
Up on the bridge is ample guest seating port and starboard as well as a Captain's Chair and First Mates Chair. Seller are looking forward to new adventures and reasonable offers will be entertained.
The Albin 40 is a sturdy semi-displacement cruising yacht with a traditional trawler-style profile, full teak interior, and comfortable cabin accommodations. (Note that her sistership, the Albin 40 Sundeck, is the same boat with a full-width aft deck and slightly increased owner’s cabin dimensions.) Both models share the same two-stateroom, galley-down interior with a queen bed aft and port and starboard deck access doors in the salon. Visibility from the lower helm is very good, and while the all-teak interior can be a little oppressive, traditionalists will probably find it to their liking. The flybridge seats six, and the full walkaround decks of the Albin 40 are a big plus when it comes to dockside line handling. While a single 135hp Lehman diesel was once standard, most Albin 40s were sold with twin 135hp Lehmans (10 knots cruise/13 knots top) or—more recently—210hp Cummins (12 knots cruise/15 top). Note that the props and rudders are well protected from grounding by the deep skeg. While not a low maintenance boat, the Albin 40 can be a good choice or retirees looking for an inexpensive liveaboard boat.
