Viking 80 Enclosed Bridge Sold By United Yacht Sales

United Yacht Sales is pleased to announce that HUMDINGER, a 2018 Viking 80 Enclosed Bridge, has been sold by UYS professional yacht broker Greg Graham. Located for sale in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, HUMDINGER sold 25% faster than average for Viking Yachts for sale on the MLS that were above 72-feet, in the U.S., and newer than 2015. "I'm very happy to have been able to successfully list and sell HUMDINGER for my client and good friend," said Greg. "With my growing network at Ocean Reef, plus the United Yacht Sales support team marketing my listings and providing total closing support, business has been exceptional the last few years. The HUMDINGER was built to fish and travel the world in ultimate comfort. Its generous 5-stateroom and 6-head layout can easily accommodate the owner, guests, and crew, if needed. The top-of-the-line electronics and equipment ensure safe navigation and a competitive fishing advantage in serious offshore fishing tournaments. She was built by a knowledgeable owner and captain, with no expense spared from the time she was built, and through all routine service. With a similar replacement vessel is 2 years or more out to build, it was only a matter of time before HUMDINGER had a new owner."

The cockpit on the Viking 80 (below) means serious business. Measuring 216 square feet, the cockpit on HUMDINGER is perfectly set up for battle, as well as for the comfort of your guests enjoying the action. The mezzanine seating has comfortable ultra-leather bench seats along with air-conditioning and a drink box nearby. For the anglers, a Release Marine Trillion teak fighting chair is the centerpiece of the cockpit, which is bathed in rich teak. Other features include a load of flush-mounted rod holders, transom livewells, in-deck fishboxes with split lids, a transom mounted fishbox with a drain in it, and a whole lot more.

Also found in the cockpit is a dedicated space for the Seakeeper 35 Gyro Stabilizer. This is the largest sized Gyro offered on the Viking 80.

The enclosed bridge on the Viking 80 is accessed either from the cockpit ladder or from a staircase in the salon. Aft on the bridge is an exterior control station giving you excellent visibility when backing down on a fish or docking. Stepping inside the aft bridge door, you're greeted to a warm, inviting upper salon-like area with comfortable seating and incredible views.

The helm station and controls inside the enclosed bridge give the captain a comfortable place to control the vessel. Large windows all around the helm provide natural light and excellent visibility. The captain's chair and the portside co-captains chair are made by STIDD, as is the starboard side loveseat. HUMDINGER received a $300,000 upgrade in electronics which now includes 3 Garmin 24" displays. Also present on this Viking 80 is the Dynamic Positioning System with joystick controls at multiple stations giving you amazing handling of your vessel.

A customized Palm Beach Tower was installed and is accessed via a ladder from the enclosed bridge aft deck. This tower has full controls and extra seating, giving the new owner the feeling of a convertible sportfish, but with the comfort of an enclosed bridge helm.

Stepping into the salon of the Viking 80 is similar to that of a luxury motor yacht. Beautiful teak, fine fabrics, and recessed LED lighting compliment the ocean views. Port and aft in the salon is a comfortable u-shaped couch with coffee table, perfect for relaxing in front of the television or enjoying conversation with friends. The galley is well-equipped with the best appliances giving you a great workspace for food preparation. Seating during meals is found at the dining table or at three bar stools near the galley counter.

Heading forward of the galley is a companionway to the staterooms that features a pantry for food storage and a central vacuum unit.

The Viking 80 has four cabins, plus a crew quarters, and a day head for guests. The master stateroom (below) is spacious with lots of storage and closets for extended trips. The king-sized, walk-around berth keeps you well-rested during tournaments. Humdinger received upgraded soft goods, including all of the mattresses. The VIP suite is nearly as plush as the master and features a queen-sized island berth.

HUMDINGER is powered with twin MTU 2000 V16-M96 engines that have 2,635HP. This is the largest engine option offered on the Viking 80 Enclosed Bridge. At the time of sale, the engines were still under warranty through December 21st, 2022 and had 2,200 hours at the time the listing went live in March of 2021. Other mechanical features include Spot Zero water purifier, Dometic ice chipper, Phasors 34kW generator, an upgraded fuel conditioning system, and a lot more.
