United Yacht Sales Sponsors Budweiser Guns N Hoses Event For Fallen Heroes

United Yacht Sales is proud to be a Hall Of Fame Sponsor for the 2022 Budweiser Guns N' Hoses Charity Boxing Event in St. Louis, Missouri held annually on Thanksgiving eve.
"It's difficult to comprehend the loss of a loved one, particularly our heroes that fall while bravely performing their job," said Brian Boettler, CEO of United Yacht Sales. "The Backstoppers is a great organization that supports the families of first responders killed in the line of duty. The spouses and children of fallen police officers, firefighters, publicly-funded paramedics, and EMTs receive ongoing financial assistance through their charity."
Proceeds from Guns N' Hoses go to support The Backstoppers organization and efforts. This year's event was completely sold out at the Enterprise Center to watch the volunteer first responders battle it out in the ring.
"What a great event and organization," said Captain Jeff Palmer, President of UYS. "Not only is it a fun event to watch, but you really feel a sense of respect and community among the first responders. United Yacht Sales just had to be involved somehow and we are grateful for the opportunity to be a Hall Of Fame sponsor."
"The goal of the event was to reach $1 million to be able to donate to The Backstoppers," continued Jeff. "Thanks to the sold out crowd that goal was reached and more. It was amazing to see the different volunteers get up their and fight in honor of their colleagues." All police and fire fighters that participated in the boxing matches trained for weeks under close supervision. Since the inaugural event, more than 700 boxing matches have taken place.
