Mondomarine 161 Superyacht IPANEMA Sold By United Yacht Sales

We couldn't agree more, especially when it comes to the gorgeous red hull of "IPANEMA". United Yacht Sales is thrilled to announce the sale of this stunning superyacht, a 2016 Mondomarine 161' (49.07 meter) Alloy with 3 decks and in near perfect condition. Our longtime superyacht expert broker Juan Morillo is credited with introducing the buyers. We would like to extend a special thank you to Patrick Dines of IYB Yachts and Denis Khamzatov of Nord Star Yachting for an easy and professional transaction. "IPANEMA" was sold in Turkey, however Juan and his client were in Greece. Thanks to the Untied Yacht Closing team and other attorneys, an offshore closing was successfully executed.
"This is a very exciting purchase for my clients and many memories will be made cruising the Med," said Juan. "We made several trips to see multiple yachts, all around 50 meters. Ultimately IPANEMA was chosen because of her accommodations, interior and exterior features, but of course, because of that eye-catching red hull." Juan has also recently sold another superyacht, CLOUD 9, a 62M Steel Motor Yacht built by Sanlorenzo Yachts. Additionally, Juan has ROCKET ONE listed for sale, a 2022 Majesty 120 built by Gulf Craft.
"IPANEMA" was listed on the brokerage market for over a year before selling and was listed for sale at $17,750,000. She was located in Mugla, Turkey.

Designed with an aluminum hull and superstructure by the Italian yard Mondomarine, design firm Hot Lab (Italy) assisted in its creation. She was delivered in 2016 and was listed as having over 200 hours when sold. She was built to ABS (American Bureau of Shipping) A1, Commercial Yachting Service, AMS classification society rules, and is MCA Compliant. She features beautiful teak decks from bow to stern.
Together with the distinctive bright red hull, IPANEMA sports a flowing, striking and hydrodynamic exterior designed by the Milan-based studio Hot Lab. The innovative look of this ‘lady in red’ flaunts design solutions that give her profile appealing aesthetics, enriched by her magnificent color combinations.

Her steeply raked stern generates a forward visual thrust for the superstructure, while the full-height windows running along most of the length of the main deck enhance the vertical dimension of this tri-deck as well as creating a natural flow between indoor and outdoor. Besides her three spacious decks with a large sun deck, other key features include the fold-down transom door that becomes a uniquely large beach club for a yacht of this size and that proves ideal for unwinding, sunbathing or for launching any number of the yacht’s water toys.

Her sumptuous interior can be described as fully classical with plenty of elements of pure architectural tradition, columns, pilasters and carved lintels, friezes and bas-reliefs inspired by Italian, English and French design tradition. More than dozen types of marbles have been used throughout the superyacht, including onyx, mahogany, briar and large quantity and variety of tissues with different motifs.

The interior configuration has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests overnight in 7 cabins including owner's cabin, 2 guests cabins, 2 VIP cabins and 2 private cabins, as well as carrying up to 12 crew.
