Happy Hour is our magnificent 116’ Azimut Motoryacht refit in 2018 & chartering in Miami Beach ~ the Florida Keys & the Bahamas at $10,000 a day plus expenses.

Just north of the Bimini Islands and directly east of Palm Beach county lies paradise in the Caribbean, complete with quiet coves, turquoise waters, and an array of water sports and outdoor activities. Grand Bahama Island is best known for its larger cities of Freeport and Lucaya which offer a variety of things to do like shopping, golf, and nightlife. Travelers that cruise to the east coast of the island are treated to vast white sandy beaches that are pristine and secluded. Submerged caves await your exploration by scuba or snorkel and world-class fishing is but a short drive away to the Gulfstream. There are many ways to travel to Grand Bahama Island for a spring vacation, but none quite unique or luxurious as aboard a private yacht charter on Happy Hour. Whether you are experienced at chartering a yacht or just looking for something different for your vacation this year, your time spent on board will create lasting memories in one of the most magnificent places in the Caribbean.

With an experienced crew on board and all of the amenities you could dream up, Happy Hour is a destination in itself. She can accommodate up to 11 guests in 5 very private, comfortable cabins. The master stateroom has a king size berth with nightstands on both sides and plenty of room to walk around. Sit and read a book on the couch or, if you have to, work at the desk portside of the cabin. Enjoy her exquisite master bathroom with double sinks and a full bath/shower. Guests on board will also be pleasantly surprised with their accommodations whether they are in the VIP suite with king-sized bed or one of the other comfortable guest cabins. Whether or not you choose to explore the island or simply have the captain drive you around the Bahamas while lounging on the bow sunpad is entirely up to you. With a captain and crew experienced in what Grand Bahama Island has to offer, taking their advice on what and where to explore could be an adventurous decision. If you’re considering a charter to Grand Bahama, the team aboard Happy Hour has put together a sample itinerary of what a 4-day yacht charter might look like:

Day 1 – You arrive in paradise!

12:00pm – Guests arrive at the Old Bahama Bay Resort, West End Grand Bahama Island. Hors d’oeuvres and cocktails are promptly served.

1:00pm – Happy Hour & Guests depart OBB

2:00pm – Arrive at Paradise Cove for anchorage. Paradise Cove offers direct access to Deadman’s Reef on the island’s Southwest side, which is rated one of the best reefs in all of the Caribbean. Spend the afternoon enjoying the water toys on board and exploring the beaches. Dinner will be served on board your yacht.

Day 2 – Head to Fortune Beach!

9:00am – Depart Paradise Cove for Fortune Beach. Breakfast and lunch on board the yacht.

11:00am – Arrive at Fortune Beach. This is a quiet beach that rests 5 miles from the Port Lucaya marketplace. Fortune Beach got its name from a ship that wrecked near the island where $2 million worth of gold was discovered. Spend the day enjoying the beaches and the water. Peterson Cay National Park is close and offers amazing snorkeling with a very active coral reef. Had enough of the sun? Spend your afternoon at The Garden of the Groves walking the winding nature trails through lush vegetation, cascading waterfalls, and sparkling fountains.

Day 3 – Move to Gold Rock Beach!

2:00pm – Depart Fortune Beach after spending the morning taking in the Garden of the Groves or relaxing in the water. Head towards Gold Rock Beach.

4:00pm – Arrive at Gold Rock Beach which is about 25 miles from Freeport, extremely secluded and absolutely spectacular. At low tide, the shoreline of Gold Rock Beach will span for yards into the sea with only a foot of water covering most places. Often called “Grand Bahama Island’s Welcome Mat”, this is a place you will want to lay on the beach and soak in the sun. The Lucayan National Park is but a short tender ride away and features a huge underwater cave system, sand dunes, and unforgettable scenery from the elevated walkways through the wetlands.

Day 4 – Enjoy Happy Hour Before Departing

After spending several days exploring the lush trails of the Lucayan park and snorkeling the reefs of Peterson Cay, guests will enjoy a relaxing breakfast and tanning aboard Happy Hour before departing at the Old Bahama Bay Resort.

2:00pm – Depart OBB.

Happy Hour not only charters in the Grand Bahamas area but is based in Miami Beach, Florida for endless itinerary possibilities in Southeast Florida and has fabulous itineraries for the rest of the Bahamas including Nassau, Bimini and Exumas island trips along with a wide array of yacht charter ideas in the Florida Keys.
