Raised in a family deeply connected to the boating world, she was behind the wheel of a boat while still in diapers. Her father, a seasoned yacht broker, introduced her to the world of yachting early on, turning the waterways into her second home and laying the foundation for a lifetime of adventure on the water.
Delaney’s journey began aboard a 35-foot Ocean Yacht on the Chesapeake Bay, where she first learned the ropes of boating, navigation, and marine life. Summers in New Jersey deepened her connection to the sea, as she spent time aboard a 44-foot Ocean Yacht at Somers Point Marina. Those formative years fostered her love for the yachting lifestyle and sparked a deep understanding of the boating world that would serve as the foundation for her future career. Today, her family owns a 58-foot Symbol yacht in New Jersey, continuing the tradition of life on the water.
By her teenage years, Delaney had already developed a solid skill set, both on the water and within the yachting industry. Under her father’s mentorship, she worked at major boat shows like the Chesapeake Bay Boat Show and Atlantic City Shows, gaining hands-on experience and a deeper understanding of the business side of yachting.
But Delaney’s story is not just one of following in someone else’s footsteps. In 2023, she took a bold step and relocated to Florida, fully immersing herself in the vibrant yachting community of Stuart. This move marked the beginning of a new chapter, where she could refine her skills further and continue to grow while staying true to her love for the water.
Along with her extensive boating experience, Delaney holds a degree in Security and Risk Analysis (Cybersecurity) with a minor in Information Science and Technology from Penn State. This unique blend of technical expertise and maritime knowledge provides her with a modern, forward-thinking perspective in the yachting industry.
